ROGERS — Jessie Lucile Dawson, 87, of Rogers, Ark., died peacefully Thursday, July 26, 2012, in Rogers, Ark. She was born Jan. 6, 1925, in Cameron, Mo., to William Harvey Stafford and Grace Elizabeth Wender Stafford.

She graduated from the University of Missouri and taught home economics in Knoxville, Iowa.

Jessie was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and was active in Joy Circle. She served as a volunteer for 15 years at Mercy Health System. She loved her family and friends, and enjoyed playing bridge, sewing and needlework.

She was preceded in death by husband, Dean 0. Dawson; parents and three brothers, J.W. Stafford, W.H. Stafford and John D. Stafford.

Survivors include two children, Deanna D. Fletcher and husband, Jon, of Rogers, William O. Dawson and wife, Mary, of Boulder, Colo.; three grandchildren, Erin G. Fletcher of Castle Rock, Colo., April Rose Dawson of Boulder, Colo., Logan Dean Dawson and wife, Chrissi, of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; one great-grandson, Jaxon William Dawson; two stepgrandchildren, Marni J. McCulloch and fanuly, Lisa I. Inserni and family.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. today at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Zack Underwood officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Benton County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 1801 South Dixieland, Rogers, AR 72758.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers.
