Sylvia Williams, age 89 years, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008. Ms. Williams was born on June 28, 1918 in Lamar(Johnson County), Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late James Polk and Sally(McGee)Davis. Ms. Williams was married to Robert A. Williams for 55 years. She was a former employee of O.K. foods in Fort Smith(Sebastian County), Arkansas and a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter: Sue Gibson and her husband, Bud of Moore, Oklahoma; a son: Robert A. williams Jr. and his wife, Ellie of Pocola, Oklahoma; a son-in-law, Robert D. McCullough of Bossier City, Louisiana; four grandchildren: Tom and Mark McCullough, both of Bossier City, Louisiana; Lisa Brown of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Jeffrey Laine Gibson, of Fort Smith, Arkansas; 11 precious great-grandchildren; and 8 very precious great-great grandchildren; two brothers: Holden Davis and his wife, Mildren of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Othal "Red" Armstrong and his wife, Eula, of Van Buren, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert in 1991; and a daughter: Mary Ann McCullough in 2005. A graveside service was held on Friday, April 18, 2008, at 2:00p.m. at the Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
