Mrs. Vina White died Wednesday in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Mrs. White was born in Louisiana, the daughter of Robert and Mariah Tuggle Lewis. She was a member of the Evergreen Baptist Church and a member of Derrick City Temple No. 352 IBPOEW. She was the widow of the Rev. John White. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Buckley, Athens, La., and Mrs. Rosetta Stell, Homer, La., and four step-daughters. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Evergreen Baptist Church with the Rev. L. D. Champion officiating. Burial will follow in Lot Burgy Cemetery under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home. (El Dorado Times - October 24, 1969)
