Henry D. White, 87, of 631 Robinson St., died Friday morning in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Born April 3, 1882, in Hamburg, he was the son of Henry Clay and Dora Foster White. He had been a resident of Union County for about 46 years. He was retired from the Calion Lumber Co. construction department. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in El Dorado, a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lydia Honeycutt White of El Dorado; a son, Henry Clay White of Searcy; three daughters, Mrs. Claude Graves and Mrs. E. J. Helm, both of El Dorado and Mrs. Clarence Biggers of Shreveport, La.; a brother, Beryl J. White of Crossett; a sister, Mrs. Estelle Higginbotham of Hamburg; nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Alvin C. Murray, Rev. Jack Wilson and Rev. Ralph Mann officiating. Interment will be in Arlington Cemetery under the direction of Young's. Grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. The body will be taken to the church at 2 p.m. Saturday.
