William Andrew "Billy" Thompson age 76 of New Edinburg, Ark., died Tuesday, August 19th at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born, July 3, 1932 in Cleveland County Arkansas, a son of the late Vivian Conway Thompson and Willie Chester Shaw Thompson. He was a retired construction worker, member of Emmus Baptist Church and the founder of Billy Thompson Hunting Club. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Sue Thompson whom he married July 25, 1954, and she died October 29, 2004. Also, a sister Dorothy Frey.

He is survived by his daughter and son-n-law, Karen Perry and spouse Lee of New Edinburg, Ark. 2 grandchildren Tawanna Mann and spouse Raymond, New Edinburg, Ark.; Jessica Bradley and spouse Jason, New Edinburg, Ark. 1 great-grandchild, Tia Mann, New Edinburg, Ark.

Funeral services were 2:00pm Thursday, August 21st at Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Doug Inzer officiating. Linda Barrett was organist and soloist was Eddie Raines. Burial was in Moseley Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Charlie Halter, Darrell Bowman, Ellery Steele, Ronnie Hedge, J.D. Hodges and John Hoffman. Honorary pallbearers were Don Johnson, Danny Hodges and members Billy Thompson Hunting Club. Online guestbook www.frazerfuneralhome.com
