William Harper Brian, 89 of Camden passed peacefully surrounded by his family Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born in Camden on March 24, 1934 to Johnnie Embry and ZeeDee Daniels Brian.
He was a graduate of Camden High School and served in the United States Army. Harper worked as a butcher, owned a grocery store named Brians Food Store, owned the T-shirt Corral, and retired from the Camden-Fairview school district. He was also a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Camden. Harper enjoyed deer hunting, yard work, and woodworking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jo Brian, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
He is survived by his son, Matt Brian and wife Josie; grandson, Daniel Brian; brother-in-law, David Teague; brother-in-law, Gary Teague and wife Susan, sister-in-law, Helen Brian; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Proctor Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at Proctor Chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at Bethesda Cemetery.
