Christine Bowman Greenwood, age 91, of Warren, Arkansas died
Friday, September 20, at Chapel Woods Nursing Center. She was born October 2, 1921 in Bradley County, Arkansas a daughter of the late Casper Adonis Bowman and Hattie Castleberry Bowman. She was a retired school teacher and homemaker, a charter member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and a 50 year active member of the Bradley County Extension Homemakers Club. She married John Olen Greenwood October 7, 1939 and he died August 1, 1993. Surviving is a son Joe Don Greenwood and spouse Becky, Hermitage, Ark; 2 daughters Polly Bennett Williams and spouse Ike, Camden, Ark . and Rebecca Greenwood Steelman, Norman, Okla; 1 brother Kirby Bowman, Richardson, Tex; 2 sisters Maxine Yates, Fayetteville, Ark. and Geraldine Conto, Warren, Ark; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers Felton Bowman and Melton Bowman. Funeral services were 2:00pm Monday, September 23, at Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Rocky Goodwin officiating. Musicians were Janice Sullivan, Emily Atkins, Melody Wrinkle, Taylor Wrinkle and Darla Battle. Burial was in Moseley Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Auddy Doss, Dennis Polk, Anthony Hearnsberger, Jeffrey Parker, Dennis Guidry and Kenny Williams. Honorary pallbearers were Jeanette and Edwin Sanders, Martha and Willie Young, Sarah and Roland Reep, Edna and Guy Johnson.
