John Deaton Norsworthy, Rt. 2, Strong, died Thursday afternoon in an El Dorado hospital following a brief illness. Born in Strong May 5, 1902, he was the son of Livy and Sally Watson Norsworthy. Mr. Norsworthy was an employee of Missouri Pacific Railway for 33 years and a member of the New London Baptist Church. Survivors include one brother, Sam Norsworthy of Strong and two sisters, Mrs. E. S. Daniels of El Dorado and Mrs. Clovis Lovette of Strong. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 in the New London Baptist Church with Rev. L. J. Tucker and Rev. Harold Diffey officiating. Burial will follow in New London Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. The body will be taken to Mrs. L. L. Lovette's of New London at 2 p.m. Friday. Pallbearers will be E. E. Joiner, Mode Norris, John A. Phelps, Frank Sturdivant, Jr., Lloyd Frisby and Leo Harper. (The El Dorado Times - August 19, 1966)
