January 12, 1936 - February 8, 2012
Livy Norsworthy, age 76, of El Dorado, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012. He was born January 12, 1936, to Sam and Mary Hollis Norsworthy in Strong, AR.
Livy was a Veteran of the United States Army, worked as a boiler operator for Amoco before his retirement, a member of the Operator’s Union, the American Legion, the Moose Club in Wood River, IL, and the Strong Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Deaton, Sam Jr., and Glen Norsworthy; and one sister, Mary Sue Hill.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Ruth Ann Norsworthy of El Dorado; two daughters, Becky Maza (Tony) of El Dorado, Kim Norsworthy of West Plains, MO, brother, Lindall Norsworthy of Strong, AR; three sisters, Betty Bolding of Strong, Nellie Pratt of Haynesville, LA, Jo Howard of Nashville, AR; two grandsons, Drew Maza (Liz), Josh Maza; and great-granddaughter, Layla Maza.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2012, at Young’s.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Strong Church of Christ with Cullen Smith officiating. Burial will follow at New London Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
