A Celebration of Life will be held for Emma Jo Stegall McElhiney on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the East Faulkner Church of Christ, 930 East Faulkner, El Dorado, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens on Hwy. 335, El Dorado, AR.
After a 16 month courageous battle with GBM, Jo went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday night October 6, 2012.
Emma Jo Stegall McElhiney was born in El Dorado, AR on November 24, 1944, to Verline Torrence Stegall (Talley) and William Everett Stegall.
Emma Jo McElhiney was a dedicated member of the East Faulkner Church of Christ. She loved her church family and friends dearly. She enjoyed her work with AHEC for 28 years. She also loved to cook and care for others. Above all else, her love for the Lord was displayed in the way she cared, and loved her husband, daughters, grandchildren and family. She will be dearly missed by all who crossed her path. Her life was a shining example for many.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wilbur Neil Stegall; and grandson, Justin Allen Hughes.
Jo is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Richard E. McElhiney; three wonder daughters, Stephanie Mullins and husband Tim of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Libby Cameron and husband Robert of Alexander, Arkansas, and Jennifer Henderson and husband Mike of Magnolia, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren, Joshua Sanders, Morgan Hughes, Lindsey Clark, Hannah Cameron, Dalton Cameron, Cami Cameron, Dylan Hayes, Alexis Roberson, Sam Roberson, Skyler Henderson, and McKenzie Henderson; a very special sister, Martha V. “Ginger” Stegall Busch and husband Mike Busch of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two brothers, Doyle Stegall, (sister-in-law, Dorsey), and Tommy Stegall of El Dorado; many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Karen Atwood of Conroe, Texas; her special friends, Jennie Hager, Patricia Braswell, Virginia Parker; and numerous cousins.
Pallbearers will be Dalton Cameron, Dylan Hayes, Joshua Sanders, Mike Henderson, Skyler Henderson, Robert Cameron, Tim Mullins, Sam Roberson, Jeremy Busch, and Jonathan Busch.

Visitation will be tonight, Tuesday, October 9th, at Young’s Funeral Home in El Dorado, AR from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
