FAYETTEVILLE — Jimmy Lee Fletcher, 78, of Fayetteville, died March 9, 2018, in Fayetteville. He was born Feb. 10, 1940, in Fayetteville to Howard and Audra Phillips Fletcher.

He was a retired developer and member of Baldwin Christian Church and was committed to serving the Lord. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family and he deemed it a real blessing to serve others. He also enjoyed bull riding and the PBR. Jimmy was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam conflict.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Chandler and a nephew, Lynn Chandler. He is survived by his wife, Marianne Fletcher of the home; one son, Shahn Fletcher (Lori); daughter, Nancy Elaine Safarpour (Max); two step-sons, Robert Lee Cate and Jimmy Cate; step-daughter, Vicki Cate; nephew, David Chandler; 12 grandchildren, Emma, Kayla, Krista, Whitney, Zachary, Kara, Michael, Matthew, Brian, Julie, Carly and Coby.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Beard's Funeral Chapel with Ray Baggett officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Hester Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
