Mrs. Betty A. Garner, 83, of 1101 E. Oak St., died Friday in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Green Grove Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Doyne Sandefur and the Rev. Eddie Ray Yarbrough officiating. Burial will be in Green Grove Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. Mrs. Garner was born in Union County, February 24, 1891, and was the daughter of George and Elizabeth Atkins Henry. She was a life-long resident of Union County and a member of Norris Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Hays Frisby and Berkley N. Frisby, both of El Dorado, and Raymond Frisby of Lompoc, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Norris of New London; one sister, Mrs. Tippie Stockemer of Hot Springs; and 13 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Earl Herring, Dan Fairris, Floyd Garner, Neil Jerry, Arlie Henry and L. G. Wells. The family will be at the residence of Berkley N. Frisby, 1101 E. Oak.
