Charles William Garner, 63, of 320 East Ada St., Odessa, Tex., died Monday in a Odessa hospital following a two year illness. Born October 13, 1909, in Union County, he was the son of Henry W. and Georgia Futch Garner. He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church of Odessa. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Taylor Garner of Odessa; a step-son, Harold Lindsey of Bellview, Ill.; a step-daughter, Brenda Phillips of Odessa; a half-brother, Walter Frisby of El Dorado; two half-sisters, Mrs. Emma Wells of Monticello, Mrs. Mina Sisco of Little Rock; and Three step-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Green Grove Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Sardis Bever officiating. Interment will be in Green Grove Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. The family will be at the home of Mrs. W. A. Ragland, 1415 North Smith St., in El Dorado. (The El Dorado Times - December 15, 1972)
