David Virgil Glosson, 55, of Strong, died Sunday at a local hospital. He was born October 27, 1917 in Union County, the son of Walter and Jamie Little Glosson. The operator of a grocery store, and a veteran of World War II, he was a life long resident of Union County. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Eathel Garner Glosson of Strong. Other survivors include a daughter, Miss Eathelene Glosson of Strong; a stepson, Robert William Hayes, of Gonzales, La; a step daughter, Mrs. M. D. Spires, of El Dorado; a brother, Colvin Glosson, of Strong, a sister, Mrs. Mary Smith, of Los Angeles, Calif. and ten grandchildren. The family will be at the Spires home on the E. Main Road. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Rumph Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Zeke Frisby and the Rev. Sardis Beaver officiating. Burial will follow in Green Grove Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. Pallbearers were Leo Harper, Alton Vestal, Jr., J. O. Tuberville, Morgan Farris, Jesse Norris, Kenneth Kelly.
