Jimmie Lee Glosson, age 68, of Strong died Tuesday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Albert Rice of Crossett, following a short illness. He was born in Strong on Dec. 5, 1897, the son of Frank and Etta Trammell Glosson. He was a retired employe of the Missouri-Pacific Railroad, and a life-long resident of Strong. In addition to Mrs. Rice, he is survived by: his widow, Mrs. Cleo Overstreet Glosson of Strong; one son, Rufus Larkin Glosson of Strong; one brother, Joe Glosson of Hermitage; one granddaughter, Deborah McDonald of Crossett; and one grandson, Tommy Mack Rice of Crossett. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Strong, Rev. Zeke Frisby and Rev. S. M. Williamson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Green Grove Cemetery near Strong. Services will be under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. Pallbearers will be Albert Vestal, Josh Gilliam, Lonnie Pippin, John Lee Jones, Earl Herring and Homer Golden. The body will be taken to the family residence in Strong at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
