Opal Tuggle Bell of Fort Smith, and wife of the late Paul M. Bell, answered the call of the Lord and passed into her heavenly home on January 2, 2015.
Tuggle, as she was known by those who knew and cared for her, was born on August 1, 1916 in Booneville, AR. She was youngest of five children of the late Charles Mack Tuggle and Cora Belle (Thomas) Tuggle.
Opal was a long and faithful member of First United Methodist Church, serving in the Circle Naomi, the Aldersgate Sunday School Class, a life member of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Lazy A Square Dance Club. Tuggle had a servant's heart and was always willing to prepare food for people in need, as well as providing food for her many friends.
She was predeceased by her brothers Paul and Jack Tuggle, along with her sisters Violet Overby and Neva Goodwin.
She is survived by her two sons, Kenneth V. Bell and wife Barbara of Ft. Smith and David T. Bell and wife Alana of Simpsonville, SC; she is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Angela Magers (husband Bill) of Sherman, TX, Brian Bell (wife Michelle) of Hot Springs, AR, Scott Bell (wife Meggan) of Springdale, AR, Jack Williams (wife Rejeanna) of Monett, MO, Ashley Bell of Raleigh, NC; Whitney Bell Haggard (husband Tyler) of Denver, CO, Braden Bell of Austin, TX; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Family graveside service will be held on Saturday January 10, 2015 at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
