March 11, 1882 - August 15, 1973
Nancy Meadors Nelson, 91, of 200 South Main St., Junction City, La., died Sunday afternoon in a Bernice, La. hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born March 11, 1882 Gordon, La. and was the daughter of James C. and Anna Marcus Meadors. She was the widow of Thomas L. Nelson and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Junction City. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Meadors Browning of Haynesville, La.; Mrs. Olga Connally of Junction City; Mrs. Yvon Sherman of Houma, La.; and Mrs. Nn Terral of Farmerville, La.; one sister, Mrs. Anna C. Barrett of Junction City; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 3:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Junction City with the Rev. Harold Cook officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Billy Templeton, Art Funderburk, Clarence Dunham, Joe Thompson, Jerry Glover, Glenn Haynes, Roy Bolen and Monroe Jones. The body was taken to the Bailey Funeral Home in Junction City Monday afternoon and will remain there one hour prior to the service. (The El Dorado Times - August 28, 1973)
