Archie M. Nelson, 63, of Rt. 3 died Monday morning in a local hospital after a short illness. Mr. Nelson was born in Bolding, Ark., July 4, 1901, the son of Charlie and Alice Bolding Nelson. He was a retired employe of the Calion Lumber Co. commissary. He was a lifelong resident of Union County and a member of the Calion Methodist Church. Survivors include: his widow, Mrs. Elsie Plemons Nelson, El Dorado; two sons, Gerald M. Nelson, Memphis, Tenn. and Billy B. Nelson, Eua Gallie, Fla.; four brothers, T. L. Nelson, J. M. Nelson, C. L. Nelson and W. H. Nelson, all of Huttig; one sister, Mrs. H. C. Snell, Huttig; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Calion Methodist Church with Rev. James Ford officiating. Burial will be in the Old Lapile Cemetery under the direction of Rumph's. The casket will be taken to the church at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. (The El Dorado Times - June 8, 1965)
