Marie Daniels 88 of El Dorado died on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Oak Ridge Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
Born on June 20, 1924, in Downsville, LA. She was the daughter of Fred and Willie Powell.
She was the oldest of nine children.
She was a faithful housewife and homemaker.
A longtime faithful member of East Main Baptist Church, she enjoyed the fellowship of many loving friends and family members, especially those who helped care for her in recent years.
Mrs. Daniels was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Joyce Spry; a son, Kenny Daniels; four brothers and a sister.
Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Utah Daniels of El Dorado; one daughter, Glenda Leach (John) of Yukon, OK; and three brothers, Pee Wee (Linda), Quitman (Maud) and Jay Powell (Elsie). There are five granddaughters; Deanie, Tab, Donete, Tracie and Kristie, along with eight precious great-grandchildren.
The Family will receive friends for viewing in the auditorium of East Main Baptist Church from 6-8 P.M. on Friday, March 8.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the church with Dr. Benjy McCann and John Leach officiating with burial to follow at Rest Haven Cemetery under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels.
In Lieu of flowers memorials maybe made to Life Touch Hospice, 2301 Champagnolle Rd, El Dorado, Ar. 71730.
