James Douglas Tucker, age 98,of Crossett passed away on January 29, 2018. He was born on August 17, 1919 in Hamburg, AR to his late parents, Frank and Pearl Wilcoxon Tucker. Mr. Tucker was a shipping clerk for Georgia Pacific and a deacon at Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church. He was a Navy veteran of WW II, a former board member at CPMEFCU , and a Mason. He enjoyed watching football , crocheting and attending his church. Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by his wife, Rena Ada Tucker, two daughter in laws, Nancy and Faylene Tucker and a son in law, Rosen Alan Ford, four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include: two sons, Harold Tucker and Ronald Tucker (JoAnn P.); one daughter, Deborah Ford; one brother, Clifton Tucker, eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday at Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Lloyd Gibbs and Bro. Gayle Riles officiating. Pallbearers are Tanner Wells, Zach Goodwin, Mason Goodwin, Tucker Carter, Thomas Carter, Dillon Pence, Bryson Gill, Cole Gill and Trace Tucker. Honorary Pallbearers are Ron Tucker, Timothy Tucker, James Alan Ford, Korbin Wells, Cooper Ferebee, Morris Herrington, Todd Carter, Boyett Goodwin, Owen Carpenter, Donny Walker and James Outlaw. Interment will follow at Hamburg Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR(www.jonesservice.com)

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church.
