Wayne D. Hodges, age 84, of Ozark, Arkansas, died, Tuesday, November 22, 2022, in Ozark. He was born May 11, 1938 in the Dripping Springs Community of Crawford County, Arkansas to Samuel Drewie Hodges and Leona Faye Cox Hodges. Wayne was a 1956 graduate of Cedarville High School, a Veteran of the Arkansas National Guard-Charlie Battery, self-employed as a Master Plumber and Electrician, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ozark, and the Dari Delite Breakfast Club. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 52 years, Sue Smith Hodges; two sisters, Beverly Hodges and Glenda "Susie" Rice; and one brother, Robert C. Hodges.
Wayne is survived by his two daughters, Larhonda Melton and husband Randy, and Jana Tolbert and husband Raymond, all of Ozark; seven sisters, Barbara Wagoner of Barling, Arkansas, Alma Parish of Rogers, Arkansas, Monette Parrish and husband Dave of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Kathleen Barnes and husband Johnny of Van Buren, Arkansas, Donna Jackson and husband Kelly of Ozark, Fran Bauer and husband Dennis of Fort Smith, and Debra Bond of Natural Dam; four grandchildren, Whitney Battles and husband Ryan of Ozark, Lauren Sturdivant and husband Russell of Dardanelle, Arkansas, Lindsey Carmack and husband Zachary of Ozark, and Justin Tolbert of Ozark; and seven great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Reese, and Rowan Battles of Ozark, Cooper and Parker Sturdivant of Dardanelle, and Reid and Rhett Carmack of Ozark.
Visitation service will be 12:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel 2315 West Commercial Street Ozark.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark, with Reverend Brad Elrod officiating, with burial at Highland Cemetery Highway 64 West Ozark, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Melton, Raymond Tolbert, Justin Tolbert, Ryan Battles, Russell Sturdivant, and Zachary Carmack. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Clinton Hall, Jameson Hall, Lonnie Turner, Dave Parrish, Johnny Barnes, Kelly Jackson, Dennis Bauer, Dari Delite breakfast crew, and special friends Pat Woods and Allene Steele.

Sue Laverne Hodges, 69, of Ozark died Wednesday, June 20, 2012, in Fort Smith.
She was born July 6, 1942, in Fort Smith to Wallace and Ruth Dixson Smith.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a member of Taylor Sunday School Class. She was a retired beautician and former employee of Shaffer Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mary Faye Smith.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Dodson officiating with burial at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Wayne Hodges of Ozark; two daughters, Larhonda Melton and husband Randy of Ozark and Jana Tolbert and husband Raymond of Ozark; one uncle, Olin Dixon of Seiling, Okla.; four grandchildren, Whitney Battles and husband Ryan, Lauren Sturdivant and husband Russell, Lindsey Tolbert and Justin Tolbert; and three great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Reese and Rowan Battles.
Pallbearers will be Shelby Floyd, Casey White, John Noggle, Allen McIlroy, George Pfeiffer and Robert Hodges.
