Mr. Carlton Wilson, 53 of Montrose, AR, died Friday, January 30, 2009 at the Hospice Inpatient Center in Little Rock, AR. Mr. Wilson was a lifelong resident of Montrose, a former security officer for the AR Department of Corrections, and a member of St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church. He served his country in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Earnisteen Wilson on September 13, 2008, and one brother, Vernell Wilson, Jr.

He is survived by one son, Samuel Wilson of Conway, AR, two daughters, Carliss Wilson of Conway, AR & Shurell Davis of Selma, OR, his father, Vernell Wilson, Sr., of Montrose, AR, his fiancee, Charlotte Harden, one brother, Ronald, wife Sheila Wilson of Petersburg, VA, six sisters: Evelyn A. Wilson & Alsenia L. Wilson both of Montrose, AR, Earnestine, husband John Nelson, Val, husband Eugene Ward & Stephanie, husband Stanley Smith all of Dermott, AR & Johnnie C. Joplin of Chicago, IL and three grandchildren.

Funeral services are Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 11:00 AM At St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Victor Dolls, officiating. Visitation, Tuesday, from 6-7 PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers are the AR Department of Correction Honor Guards. Honorary pallbearers are the Lakeside High School Class of 1973. Burial in Providence Cemetery.
