Double gravestone with Mary E Wilson
Mr. Oscar Dewey Wilson, 69, of Crossett died Saturday, April 3, 1999, at the Ashley County Medical Center. Born April 15, 1929, in Ava to Thomas Perry and Lucy Mae Blair Wilson, he was a veteran and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his dad, Tom Wilson, and a sister, Vergie Hogue. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Mary Wilson; three sons, Dewey "Joe" Wilson and wife Karen, Donald Gene Wilson and wife Jennifer, and David Wayne Wilson and wife Katrina, all of Crossett; a daughter, Lisa Mae Floyd and husband Chris of Jones, LA; his mother, Mae Wilson of Portland; three brothers, Bill, Noel and George Wilson, all of Portland; three sisters, Ruby Bennett of Portland, Pat Temple of Alabama, and Sybil Christmas of Bastrop, LA; and four grandchildren, Kasi, Beth, Jennifer and Cody. Grave-side services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, in the Portland Cemetery with Rev. E. W. Ricks officiating. Pallbearers were Raymond Grantham, Robert Sloan, Richard Sadler, Ronnie Pamplin, Gary Barry, Chester Jones and John Godwin. Arrangements were by Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
