1958 - 2022
*Obituary
Karen Worm Powell entered eternal life peacefully on Monday, Aug. 15, 2022, after a three-year battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on Dec. 4, 1958, to the late Richard "Cotton" and Jeannette Worm. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Scott; and infant sisters, Bridget and Brenda Worm.
Karen was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School in 1977. She also enjoyed volunteering at the St. Joseph Flea Market. She was employed by Virco for 26 years and was co-owner of 12 Ring Archery with her husband, Gary. She enjoyed going to yard sales, collecting cookie jars, refinishing and repurposing furniture, hunting, archery and spending time in her garden growing foods and canning them. She also donated her homemade canned goods to the St. Joseph Bazaar every year to be used as prizes at The Country Store. She also loved spending time with her friends and family and especially her eight grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Gary Powell; three sons, Chase (Kalynn) Williams, Blake (Brittany) Williams and Seth (Lindsey) Powell; eight grandchildren, Sawyer, Hampton, Weston and Josie Williams and Emerson, Elliott, Easton and Eli Williams; sister, Elaine (Bill) Reid; and extended family and friends.
Pallbearers are Ronnie Strack, Kenny Strack, Jim Strack, David Strack, Marty Strack and Rick Satterwhite.
"In life we loved you dearly, In death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one else will ever fill."
Rosary will be on Friday, Aug. 19, 2022, at 10 a.m. with visitation immediately following and then the Mass of Christian Burial will begin right after at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway, Arkansas.
