Donald Glenn Jeffers, age 80, of Crossett, AR passed away on Friday, October 5, 2012 at Ashley County Medical Center. He was born on October 15, 1931 in Hamburg, AR to John Calvin and Ollie Maude Knight Jeffers.
He was an Air Force veteran and retired from Georgia Pacific where he worked as a tour foreman in the tissue machine room. Mr. Jeffers was a member of Cloverdale Assembly of God Church. His hobbies were
camping, fishing, squirrel hunting and playing the piano. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harold and Melvin Jeffers; a son, Terry Hines and a grandson, Dakota Hines.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Denver Jeffers of Crossett; his sons, John C. Jeffers and wife, Renee of Little Rock, Bobby G. Jeffers and wife, Sharon of Crossett, Danny L. Jeffers and wife, Teresa of Hamburg, Carl D. Jeffers and wife, V of Portland, Dennis Hines of Dermott, Donnie Hines
and wife, Kim and Tony Hines; one daughter, Kim Culbreath and husband, Randy; a sister, Norma Jean McKee, all of Crossett; eighteen grandchildren
and ten great grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2012 at Cloverdale Assembly of God Church with Bro. John C. Martin and Bro. Gene Cullum officiating. Interment will follow at Flat Creek Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR.
