Joy Muriel Pedron, age 85, of Haskell, passed away Monday, June 8, 2015 at Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant. She was born December 8, 1929 to the late James Thomas Mackey and Hazel Dean (Woods) Mackey in Graysonia, AR. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church in Benton and was a retired mail carrier with the United States Postal Service, where she earned the name "Stormy" for her lively temperament while on the job. She was a member of the Good Sams Club. She loved to shop, especially flea markets and could never pass up a carport sale. She also looked forward to the coming of her hummingbirds every spring and had a passion for cats. She enjoyed being outdoors, including both camping at various lakes with family and deer camp in Camden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Sherrell Lynn Pedron.

Survivors include her son, James Pedron and wife, Mary Lynn of Montgomery City, MO; two daughters, Connie Pedron and Andrea Mann and husband, Jerry all of Benton; three granddaughters, Jamie Schroer and husband, Kyle and Rachael and Rose Mann; three great-grandchildren, Haley, Aiden, and Peyton Schroer; one brother, James A. Mackey of West Monroe, LA; one niece, Joy McMahan and husband, Steve of West Monroe; three great nephews, Michael, Joseph, and James of West Monroe; other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047) with Rev. Walt Garrett officiating.

The committal service will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Bethesda Cemetery in Camden, AR.

Visitation will be from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at the funeral home.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Saline Memorial Hospital and Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant, especially to Jan Crawford and Cindy Smith.
