Lucy La Veta “Pete” La Ferney, 77, of Austin passed away September 26th. She was born in Hopewell, Arkansas to the late Cecil and Lucille (Boyd) Wildman on March 26, 1940.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years; Gerald La Ferney, one daughter; Michelle La Ferney (Steve Fisher), one brother; Billy Joe “Jody” (Karen) Wildman, four sisters; Wilma Wildman, Melvis (James) Moorhouse, Martha (Bobby) Hopkins, Joann (Ronnie) Edwards, and one step-granddaughter; Hannah Fisher.
La Veta “Pete” attended Country Chapel Church. She was a hard working country girl who loved bluegrass music, dancing, crafts, and gardening. She was a meticulous housekeeper and the heart of the home. She loved the Lord, her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers; Jimmy Wildman and Melvin “Bud” Wildman.
