Opal Lee Howell, 90, of Searcy, Arkansas went to be with our Lord and Savior, on July 8th, 2022, at her home in Searcy. She was born March 27th, 1932, in Pangburn, Arkansas to the late Leona Cooper and Jerome Howell.
Opal was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was hard-working, kind, and generous. She was both mother and father to all her girls. She loved going to yard sales, gardening, camping, and red roses, but most of all she loved her family. Opal was loved and respected by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Barbara Baker of Heber Springs, Sharon Hollingshead of Pangburn, Shelia Summers of Searcy, Debbie Hill (Jim) of Searcy, and Donna McElyea (Jerry) of Pangburn. Eighteen grandchildren, forty-nine great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Opal was preceded in death by two daughters, Gwendola McGrew and Brenda Houston, one grandson, Justin Baker, one great-grandson, Warren Parrott, and two sons-in-law, Randy Harris and Jerry Hollingshead.
