*A 37-year-old Bald Knob woman was killed Tuesday night in a two-vehicle collision on Arkansas Highway 367 North near Lakeshore Drive that left four others injured.
Janice Howell was a passenger in a northbound 2016 Ford Fusion that was struck on the front by a southbound 2003 Chevrolet Silverado that crossed into the northbound lane, according to the Arkansas State Police fatal crash summary.
The driver of the Fusion, Ruth Ann Van Dyne, 68, of West Point, and driver of the Silverado, Heather M. Holland, 34, of Bradford, and two minors were taken to Unity Health-White County Medical Center with injuries. Van Dyne's son posted on Facebook that she "has several broken bones and already had to have emergency surgery for her right leg."
The accident happened at 9:04 p.m. Searcy Cpl. Corderro Earls reported that the road was dry and the weather clear at the time.

Janice Marie Howell, 37, of Bald Knob, died Tuesday, April 28, 2020 in Searcy. She was born April 27, 1983 in Searcy to Mary (White) Davis and the late Ronnie Davis. Janice was a ray of sunshine and touched many lives. She enjoyed coloring and artwork. She attended the New Horizon Church and enjoyed going and worshiping there with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Victor Howell; children, Chase Howell, Rene Howell, Marquita Howell, and Victor Howell, III; her mother, Mary Davis; siblings, Eddie Davis, Mary Bowman (Tracy Wilson), Sally Thompson (Richard), Susan Foster and Jessica Davis.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 4, 2020 at the Nelson Cemetery in Georgetown, the family will receive friends starting at 1:00 p.m. at the cemetery. Social distancing guidelines will be observed due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Arrangements entrusted to Powell Funeral Home Bald Knob-Judsonia. www.powellfuneralhome.net
