William M. Smith, age 91, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away on April 8, 2018. Born on January 12, 1927 in Booneville, Missouri, he was the son of the late William L. and Edna Miller Smith.

William was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, boats and being around the water. He enjoyed buying and repairing cars and motorcycles. He attended the Southside Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Wanda Kay Smith.
He is survived by his children Carolyn Scott and her husband Dan, Janet Mathews, Debbie Long, Jackie Sullins, Chuck Hocking, Sr. and his wife Bernice and Peggy Jo Maberry and her husband Gregg. Mr. Smith is also survived by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as his other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, April11, 2018 at Olmstead Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 11:00am with Rev. Elwin Ollar officiating. Interment will follow in Henderson Cemetery

Lawanda K. Smith the daughter of William Kirby and Eva Laura (Peck) Easterwood was born in Clay County, Arkansas near Corning on August 29, 1934 and passed away in Little Rock, Arkansas on August 20, 2005 at the age of 70 Years.Mrs. Smith was the retired owner with her husband William Mack Smith of White River Cycle and Sports Center. Her religious belief was Baptist and she was a member of the Heber Springs Humane Society where she volunteered in the thrift shop and other projects. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, boating, horticulture and crocheting. She was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and a granddaughter Nicole Sullens. Survivors are her husband William Mack Smith of Pangburn, daughters, Janet Mathews of Heber Springs and Jackie Sullens and husband Louie of Ulm, Arkansas, Carolyn Scott and husband Danny of Arlington, Tennessee and Debbie Long of Puducah, Kentucky. One son Chuck Hocking and wife Bernice of Heber Springs. Three sisters Wilma Crafton Carruth of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Mae Davis of Piggott, Arkansas and Florene Blankenship and husband Jim of Pollard, Arkansas. Mrs. Smith is also survived by 9 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren besides other relatives and many friends.

Services are Tuesday, August 23, 2005 in the Pangburn First Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Rev. Alan Cook officiating. Interment will follow in the Henderson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Sullens, Jeremy Scott, Scott Green, Todd Green, Ray Tanksley and Gaudencio Castillo. Visitation will be Monday, August 22, 2005 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Arrangements are by: Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc.
