August 26, 1919 - April 3, 2004
Ray Luther Jackson, 84, of Dover, died Saturday, April 3, 2004 at his home.
The son of Fred and Josie Gilbreath Jackson, he was born August 26, 1919 in Hope, Arkansas. He married Madge Myers Jackson, on March 8, 1941 at Dover, Arkansas.
He was a faithful member of the House of Praise of Russellville. Ray was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He was a Carpenter with the Carpenter's Local Union #1836 for over 50 years. He was a member of the Russellville Masonic Lodge number 274 and a 32nd degree Mason, having received his 50 year Masonic Pin in 1997.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 Brothers, Joe, Leonard, Carl, Paul and Jack Jackson, and 2 sisters, Ethel Garner and Annie Linton.
He is survived by his wife, Madge Jackson, Dover; 3 sons, Ronnie Jackson of Dover, Ernie Jackson of Dover, and Robert Jackson of Dover; 4 daughters, Judy Standridge of Clovis, Phyllis Motley of Russellville, Raylin Sauer of Yreka, Betty Wadler of Santa Cruz; 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren;a brother, Harold Jackson,Russellville;3 sisters Flo Young of Russellville, Ruth Hottinger of Russellville, and Ruby Henderson of Russellville.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at McFadden Cemetery at Dover Rev. Bob Parker and Mr. Charles Smith will officiate. Russellville Masonic Lodge #274 will conduct Masonic Rites at the graveside. Burial will be under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
