Clarence Whiteman, age 85, went home to be with God on June 25, 2012.

He was born on June 22, 1927 in New Martinsville, West Virginia to Jim and Pearl Whiteman.

He graduated from Harding College and received his master's degree in education from the University of Arkansas. It was while a student at Harding that he met his wife, Patsy Hall. They were married in 1948. He also served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

Clarence's life touched many people. He was a teacher and a coach for 36 years. He began his teaching career at Guion, Arkansas in 1950 and then moved to Kensett, Arkansas where he taught, coached and was a principal until his retirement in 1986.

Clarence was a people person but he was first and foremost a Christian. He worshipped God at the Kensett Church of Christ. He taught an adult Bible class and even preached a sermon when called upon to do so. He was also a daily sermon to all those he came in contact with.

Clarence leaves behind six children: Sharon Johnson and husband, Tommy of Newport; Paula Stuckey and husband Don of Judsonia; Jimmy Whiteman of Searcy, Linda Tucker and husband, Kenneth of Judsonia; Pattie Morris and husband, Vernon of Hampton; and Debbie Peck and husband, Steve of Rodgers. In addition Mr. Whiteman has twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, his brothers James Whiteman and Martin Whiteman and sisters Pearl Seckman, Georgia Sands and Braxie Hunt.

Preceding Mr. Whiteman in death were his wife, Pat Whiteman, his brothers Francis Whiteman, Edgar Whiteman, Everett Whiteman and sisters, Opal Simpson and Mable Hilton.

Visitation will be Thursday night from 5-7 p.m. with a family graveside memorial on Friday. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to the Truth for Today's World Mission School, 2209 S. Benton, Searcy, Arkansas 72143

Patsy Ann Whiteman 69,of Judsonia,died
Thursday July 11,2002. She was born
September 7 1932,at Center Hill to George
Allen and Flossie Hufham Hall.
She was a nurse at White County Medical
Center and a member of Bethel Grove Church
of Christ.

She is survived by her husband,Clarence
Whiteman of Judsonia,one son Jimmy
Whiteman of Searcy,five daughter
Sharon Bearden,Paula Stucky and
Linda Tucker,all of Judsonia,Patti Morris of
Hampton,and Debbie Peck of Searcy,one
brother Harold Hall of Little Rock,and two
Sisters,Juanita Dennis and Margaret Moore,
both of Searcy.

She was proceded in death by her parents.

A family service will be held at 10 A.M.
SaturdayJuly 13,2002 with interment in
Bethlehem Cemetery.

Arrangments are by Seary Funeral Home.
