Raymond R. D. Coatney, 66, of Rudy, Arkansas died Saturday at his home. He was a retired furniture worker, a veteran of World War II and a member of the 88 Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Edwards Van-Alma Chapel. Burial was at Mount McCurry Cemetery at Rudy under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter Wanda; a sister, Juanita; a brother; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Floy "Tommy" Coatney, 94, of Alma, Arkansas, died Sunday, March 7, 2010 in a local hospital. She was born February 1, 1916 in Rudy, Arkansas.

She was a homemaker and a member of 81 Freewill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond "RD" Coatney.

She is survived by one daughter, Wanda Roark of Alma, AR; one sister, Frances Freer of Chillicothe, TX; two brothers, John Jones Jr of Phoenix, AZ and Paul Jones of Newport, FL; three grandchildren, Clarence Roark and his wife, Debbie of Van Buren, AR, Gary Roark and his wife, Diana of Alma, AR, and Glenda McNatt and her husband, Barney of Rudy, AR; 8 great-grandchildren, Angela Rushing, Justin Roark, Jason Roark, Chad Roark, Tim Roark, Emily Brown, Barry McNatt, and Harley McNatt; 13 great-great grandchildren, Ethan Roark, Kyle Roark, Elijah Roark, Josiah Roark, McKenzie Rushing, Haden Roark, Haily Roark, Hadly Roark, Madison McNatt, Brady McNatt, Joshlynn Roark, Jaden Ross, and Kagen Ross and a pair of twin great-great grandchildren on the way; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Mount McCurry Cemetery in Rudy, AR under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Justin Roark, Tim Roark, Chad Roark, Harley McNatt, and Barry McNatt. Honorary pallbearers were Houston Peters, Johnny Mizell, Pat Flynn, Allen Adams, Jeff Williams, and Tommy Brammer.
