*Obituary
Reuben Coatney, 72 years old, of 807 North C. Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Wednesday, August 29, 1973 in a local hospital.
He was born in Mountainburg, Arkansas September 7, 1900, the son of Elbert and Nancy E. Johnston Coatney, was a member of the Baptist church and a retired farmer.
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Ruth Meadors of Alma; two brothers, Ben of Alma and Joe of Mountainburg; and a half-brother, Calvin of Greenwood, Arkansas.
Graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. McCurry cemetery. Charlie Graham was the officiating minister. Funeral arrangements was by Edwards Funeral Home.
