William C.” Bill” Fennell age 97 of El Dorado passed away on Thursday February 14, 2013 At Timberlane Health & Rehab. He was born October21, 1915 in Union County to Willie Lake and Pauline Combs Fennell. Bill was a carpenter by trade and worked for several local construction companies during his career. Working with wood was not only a job that he loved but was also a hobby of Bills. He had a talent for carving just about anything he wanted with just a pocket knife. When he was able, Bill attended Gallilee Baptist Church. He was also a veteran, serving his country in the U.S. Air Force. Bill loved the outdoors and enjoyed going hunting or fishing as often as he could.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, His wife Opal Cupp Fennell, one son Herman Fennell, two Brothers George Fennell and Walter Fennell and a sister Mary Fennell.
He is survived by two sons, William B. “Bill” Fennell and wife Sharon of Homer,La. and Allen Fennell and wife Alice of El Dorado,Ar. Six Grandchildren, Thirteen Great Grandchildren, numerous extended family members, and a host of friends.
A Graveside service will be held on Monday February 18, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery with Jessie Bates officiating. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5 to 7 PM at Bailey Funeral Home.
