George - May 9, 1919 - July 9, 1964
Tommy - September 5, 1924 - June 28, 2005
George L. Fennell, Sr., 45, of 501 S. Parkway St., died in a local hospital following a lengthy illness about 3 p.m. Thursday. He was born in El Dorado May 9, 1919, the son of Pauline Combs and W. L. Fennell. He was manager of Marks Car Town, a lifelong resident of Union County and a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Tommie McCullor Fennell; one son, George L. Fennell, Jr.; one daughter, Velda Jean Fennell; two brothers, Walter W. Fennell and William C. Fennell; his mother and father, all of El Dorado. The family will be at 1918 E. Faulkner St. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Young's. Active pallbearers will be Pat Peppers, Wallace Dumas, Woodrow Willett, M. B. Johnson, Faye Gibbons, and M. D. Phillips, Jr. (The El Dorado Times - July 10, 1964)
