January 20, 1930 - July 10, 2016
James Warren Scott, 86, of Van Buren passed away Sunday, July 10, 206 in a local hospital.
He worked for Alliance Energy Company in Iowa for 34 Years and Central Iowa Light and Power Company for ten years. He was of the Methodist Faith and graduated from Van Buren High School in 1947. He moved back to Van Buren in 1998.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Gladys Scott; the mother of his children Zenobia Scott; five several brothers, and five several sisters.
Memorial service will be 2 P.M. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial of cremains at Gracelawn Cemetery after the service.
He is survived by his wife Eileen Scott of the home; a daughter Laura Mae Scott of Van Buren; a son Richard Scott and wife Carmelita of Marion, Iowa; a brother Jackie Dean Scott and his wife Marilyn of Van Buren; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
