Reverend Howard Enos Porter, 89 of Van Buren passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 in a local nursing home.

He was a Pentecostal Minister and a World War II Army Veteran; of the European Theater and the Battle of the Bulge.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby (Seay) Porter.

Funeral services will be 2PM Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren with military honors under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. The Family will visit with family and friends one hour prior to the service.

He is survived by one daughter Sharon Hood of Texarkana, TX three sons Dennis Sirkin Porter of Visalia, CA, Dail Johnson of Conway, Gary Johnson of Sprio, OK; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.

Ruby Dail Porter, 87 of Alma, Arkansas died Friday, July 16, 2010 at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith.

She was a homemaker and a cotton mill employee in Morrilton. She was a member of the Calvary Chapel Pentecostal Church of God in Alma, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her son John Steven Porter.

She is Survived by: her husband Howard Enos Porter of the home; one daughter, Sharron Hood of Texarkana; two sons, Gary Wayne Johnson of Spiro, Oklahoma, Dail Johnson of Conway, Arkansas, one stepson, Dennis Sirkin of California, several grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Calvary Chapel Pentecostal Church of God in Alma on Monday, July 19 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Elmer Redding and Rev. James Baker officiating.
Burial was at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren.
