Asa Hux, 82, of Rt. 1, Junction City, died Wednesday evening in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. He is Survived by his widow, Mattie Whitley Hux, Junction City; two sons, Lavell Hux and Clarence Hux, both of Junction City; and one brother, Frank G. Hux, El Dorado. Hux was a member of the Olive Branch Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Olive Branch Methodist Church with the Rev. Stanley Wagner and the Rev. I. L. Claud officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery under direction of Rumph Mortuary. Pallbearers will be Will Hux, George Blackman, Prentis Pepper, Claude Bradley, Luther Griffith and A. E. Hux. The body was taken to the family residence Thursday afternoon. (El Dorado Times - March 13, 1969)
