Clarence "Garry" Hux age 63 of El Dorado passed from this life on Monday, May 18, 2015 at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. Garry was born on April 3, 1952 in El Dorado to the late Mary Lee Harris Hux and Clarence Gervis Hux. Garry worked for Milam Construction before being hired on at Great Lakes Chemical, serving many years in the maintenance department before his health forced him to retire. Garry enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid sports fan. He especially liked watching the New York Yankees and the Arkansas Razorbacks. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend whom will be greatly missed by all.
Garry was preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents and one sister, Amy Killingsworth.
Those left to cherish his memory include; his wife, of 32 years, Betty Kooms Hux of El Dorado; one son, Clint Slaughter and wife Daviette of New Caney, TX; two grandsons, Wade Krell of El Dorado and Logan Krell of New Caney, TX; two sisters, Joan Bell and husband Eugene of Strong and Janey Endel and husband Bennie of El Dorado; one brother, Russell Hux of Junction City also, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Bailey Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. J.D. Weido and Bro. Ben Endel officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado.
