Benny Mark Lyons, 66 of Calion Ar went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, November 15, 2013. He was born on September 7, 1948 in Ozark, Ar. to Reverend Coy Lyons & Mary Lucille Brown Lyons.

Benny was a graduate of Northeast Louisiana University. He was a Veteran and served as a medic in Vietnam. He drove a truck for Norman Transport for more than 7 years. Benny was an active member of Calion Assembly of God Church and loved sharing the Lords grace and his travels to Jerusalem in the last years. Benny loved playing the guitar with his friends and singing all the old gospel hymns and will be greatly missed.

Benny was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters; Ruth Ann Lyons, Joyce Sanford and Florene Pierce.

He is survived by his three beautiful daughters; Eva Marie Lyons of Nevada City, CA, Megan Ann Lyons of Chicago, IL and Rachel Katherine Lyons of Fayetteville, AR., his brothers Robert Lyons and Steve Lyons of West Monroe, LA and David Lyons of Monroe, LA. Nieces; Amanda Squitiero and husband Chris of Richardson, TX, Toni Phillips and husband Steve of Atlanta, GA, Pam Barcelou and husband David of New Hampshire, Rachel Lucille Lyons of Monroe, LA., and Kay Mitchell and husband Reid of Little Rock, AR. Nephews; Chuck Pierce and wife Michelle of Texarkana, Ar. and Chris Lyons and wife Michele of West Monroe, LA, numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews and special thanks to cousin Patricia Griffin of Wesson, Ar. and special friend Elisa Armstrong of Little Rock, Ar.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Perry’s Funeral Chapels.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the funeral home with Reverend Wendell Miller officiating with burial to follow at Olive Branch Cemetery.
