James Thomas Vines age 75 of El Dorado, passed away from this life on Wednesday July 30, 2014 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. He was born June 26, 1939 in El Dorado, Arkansas to the late James C. and Ezel (Sawyer) Vines.
James was a member of Faith Southern Methodist Church of El Dorado. He was an Assistance Maintenance Supervisor at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. James loved his job and retired after 43 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army. Most of all he loved deer hunting, farming, caring for his cows.
James was preceded in death by Parents, two brothers Glynn Vines and Charles Vines.
Those left to cherish his memory are his, wife Maria "Renny' Vines of El Dorado; two sons, Eddie Vines of El Dorado, James Vines, JR and Olivia of Memphis Tennessee; two daughters, Janie Smith and Wesley of Apex, North Carolina and Geanie Vines and Candice of Tifton, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Jordan, Austin, Preston, Kaitlyn ,Harrison, Gunner and Jase; two brothers, Clifford Vines and Dorinda, Carroll McGarity and Dorothy ; sister-in-law, Paula Vines; two nephews, Ricky Vines and Russell Vines all of El Dorado.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 1, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Bailey Funeral Home.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Saturday August 2, 2014 at Faith Southern Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado.
