Green Embry

Green Embry, was the son of the late Haze and Henrietta Embry, of Alma, Arkansas in Crawford county. He was a member of the St. Mathew Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. William Woods, where he remained until death. He attended Public Schools in Alma, Arkansas. He met and married Zora Willis of Alma in 1924. The marriage lasted for 60 years. They had no children. He was a very active man he served as Director on the District 92 School Board, President of the Beal Cemetery Board. He was employed by the Fort Smith Bus Station, retiring after 28 years of service. He was Agent for the Rowell-Parish Mortuary for over 40 years. He was deacon of his church, Sunday School Superintendent for 49 years, Church Treasurer, Deacon and Trustee where he served as President of each board. He died at the Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith on October 27, 1985.

Ozora Willis Embry

Ozora Embry was the daughter of the late Robinson and Dollie Willis of Alma, Arkansas. Ozora attended the Public Schools in Alma, Arkansas. On December 5, 1924 she married Green Embry, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church, in Alma, Arkansas. She later became a member of Saint Mathew Baptist Church. Ozora was a member of order of Eastern Star Queen Esther Chapter, #265, Fort Smith.
