Rebecca Ann ‘Becky’ Arguello, 57, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away on Monday, November 9. Becky grew up in Hot Springs and attended Lake Hamilton School. From early on in life, she had a way of making a new friend of every person whose path crossed hers. She devoted all her energy to loving and encouraging her family and her many friends. She loved to laugh, and her laugh was infectious. One of her greatest joys in life was laughing with family members at funny stories and she was often the instigator of having the stories told and retold.

Becky had the voice of an angel. She entertained thousands of people over the years at the Mullenix family’s Music Mountain Jamboree where she performed with her family for several decades. She loved to use her vocal gift to honor the Lord. She was the worship leader at her church, City Life (formerly River of Life) Church, for more than twenty years. Becky is still featured on the Victory Television Network (VTN) where she recorded for VTN broadcasts.

Becky was active in so many areas. She loved to support and volunteer at Ali’s ACE Closet at Lakeside School. The ministry bears her daughter’s name and gives Lakeside students and their families support through food distribution, clothes sharing, and nutrition education. Becky was appointed to the Arkansas State Board of Cosmetology. She was a board member on the board of The Father’s House. In 2012, she ran for and was elected to the Garland County Quorum Court where she served as a Justice of the Peace representing District 5.

In 2013, she found her niche in real estate and was an agent with Trademark Real Estate in Hot Springs. Becky was recognized for top sales achievements every year, even as she had serious health battles. Beginning in 2014, she received the Arkansas REALTORS® Association Award for Excellence every single year for millions of dollars in real estate sales. For each of the last three years, including 2020, she received the Diamond Award for sales exceeding $7 million.

Becky is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Robert Arguello; her son and joy of her life, Duran Crone (Lindsay); her mother Alta Mullenix; her father, Ted Mullenix (Julie); her sister, Pam Hopkins (John); step-brother, Austin Grinder (Lauren); her mother-in-law, Joyce Arguello; brother-in-law, Lance Arguello (Angelia); sister-in-law Robin Livingston (Eddie) and a host of other family members who loved her very much. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Alexis ‘Ali’ Arguello and her father-in-law, Philip Arguello.

Becky’s many friends are invited to a walk-through visitation on Monday, November 16 from 8:30 am to 10:30 am at City Life Church, 1555 E. Grand Avenue in Hot Springs. Regretfully, because of the pandemic there will be an opportunity only to file through the church for viewing and then exit. A private service will be livestreamed on The City Life Church Facebook Page at 11:00 am. Following the private service, burial will be at noon at Memorial Gardens, 2868 Airport Road in Hot Springs.

Pallbearers include Blake Livingston, Eddie Livingston, Cody Livingston, Derek Arguello, Kade Arguello, and Zach Wells. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Fred Divers, Dr. Fade Mahmoud, the staff at Genesis Cancer Center, and Dylan Smith.
