W.H. “Dub” Parsons, 76 of Alma, Arkansas passed away on February 23, 2016 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on June 21, 1939 in Paris, Arkansas to his parents William Joel Parsons and Ayrie Mandy Drewey. Dub retired from Griffins Construction Co. in Fort Smith after 30 years as a Construction Superintendent. He enjoyed spending time outdoors working in his garden and fishing. He had a passion for St. Louis Cardinal’s baseball, antique cars, old time country music, blue grass music, square dancing and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Joel and Ayrie Mandy Parsons; his wife of 58 years, Holly Parsons and one brother, Audie Parsons.

Dub is survived by one son, William Joel Parsons and his wife Kim of Murfreesboro, TN; two daughters, Debbie Roark and husband Clarence of Van Buren AR.; Regina (Parsons) Chase and husband Marvin of Zachery, LA.; two sisters, Juanita Curtis of Napa Valley, Calif.; Nadine Jacques of Paris, AR.; two brothers, Bud Parsons and Larry Parsons of Paris, AR.; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

A Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Paris, AR. officiated by Bro. J.H. Carter followed by burial at McVay Cemetery in Paris, AR. under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Bob Selby, Jerry Staggs, Ben Bynum, Rodney Bynum, Jerry McDonald and Brian McDonald.

Honorary pallbearer will be his Grandsons and Great-Grandsons.

Holly Parsons, 75, of Alma passed away on Nov. 3, 2014, in Fort Smith. She was born on Oct. 9, 1939, in Driggs to her parents, Holand and Clora (Corley) Bynum. Holly retired from Griffins Construction Co. in Fort Smith after 21 years as a furniture upholstery worker and commercial painter. She enjoyed working in her flower beds that were all around the house; she was family-oriented, loved to travel, was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, enjoyed country-western and bluegrass music and square dancing and loved relaxing on her front porch watching the hummingbirds and other wildlife.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Holand and Clora Bynum; three brothers, Jim Wayne Bynum, Anthony Bynum and Ricky Bynum.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, William “Dub” Parsons; one son, William Joel Parsons and his wife Kim of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two daughters, Debbie Roark and husband Clarence of Van Buren, Regina (Parsons) Chase and husband Marvin of Zachery, La.; one sister; Shirley Kline of Paris; five brothers, Billy Don Bynum and wife JoAnn of Muldrow, Wesley Bynum (Sonny) and wife Frankie of Shawnee, Okla., Lonnie Joe Bynum of Midwest City, Okla., Mike Bynum of Poteau, David Bynum of Fort Smith; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Paris with burial at McVay Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home. Online guestbook is at rollerfuneralhomes.com

Pallbearers will be Larry Bynum, Tracy Bynum, Ben Bynum, Danny Bynum, Paul Bynum and Wes Terhune.
