Parkers Chapel - Jeff Arnold “Zack” Bailey, age 80 of Parkers Chapel, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Northern Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston, LA. Jeff was born on January 4, 1933 in Summerfield, LA to the late Jeff and Mazie Carrie (Moss) Bailey. Jeff was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving his country for four years after high school. Jeff was a maintenance manager for W. R. Grace Chemical of Memphis, TN, serving faithfully for 37 years before his retirement. Jeff was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed Bass and Crappie fishing. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and shooting the squirrels out of his pecan trees. Jeff was a member of Parkers Chapel First Baptist Church and was a loving, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and friend, whom will be greatly missed by all. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Catherine Maples, Oleta Perry and Betty Walton; one brother, Travis Bailey. Those left to cherish his memory include: his wife of 57 years, Fayrene (Carelock) Bailey of Parkers Chapel; two sons, Wayne Arnold Bailey and wife Shirley of Parkers Chapel and William Lee “Bill” Bailey and wife Cheri also of Parkers Chapel; ten grandchildren, Jeff Bailey, Courtney Sandhu and husband Paul, John Bailey, Jeremy Parker and wife Dylan, Kayla Bailey, Lauren Bailey, Tommy Bailey, Andrea Bailey, Courtney Osborn and Connor Osborn; one great-grandson, Charlie Davis; three brothers, Mark Bailey, Joe Bailey and David Bailey; and two sisters, Corrine Maum and Doris Bush also, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of Friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today, November 2, 2013 at Parkers Chapel First Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Hudson and Bro. Al Womack officiating. Burial will follow at Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado. The family respectfully requests that memorials be made to Parkers Chapel First Baptist Church Building Fund, In memory of Jeff Bailey.
