*Edwin M Barnes was born on June 30, 1832, in Tennessee, the son of Henrietta and Theophilas. He married Martha McGehee and they had eight children together. He also had four daughters with Mary H. (Polly) BARNES. He died on February 10, 1899, in Russell, Arkansas, at the age of 66.
When Martha McGehee was born on December 13, 1835, in Meade, Kentucky, her father, Addison, was 35, and her mother, Elizabeth, was 33. She married Edwin M Barnes on December 22, 1853, in Fulton, Kentucky. They had eight children in 22 years. She died on October 26, 1895, in Russell, Arkansas, at the age of 59, and was buried there.
