*When Carrie(Johanne Louise Karoline Walten Hotop) Hotopp was born on September 16, 1840, in Mainzholzen, Lower Saxony, Germany, her father, Karl, was 23, and her mother, Johanna, was 18. She married Henry (Christain Heinrich Ludwig Hotop) Hotopp in 1860. They had five children in 11 years. She died in 1914 at the age of 74, and is buried in the Bolin Cemetery in Bald Knob, Arkansas.
