John Zeiler Benz, 76 of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on January 21, 1940 in Paris to his parents, Anton and Catherine (Zeiler) Benz. He was retired from the United States Forest Service and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Catherine (Zeiler) Benz and three brothers, James E. Benz, Eugene Benz and Ollie Benz.
He is survived by two sisters, Rose Zita Delaloye of Tulsa, Oklahoma and
Irene Morrison of Omaha, Nebraska; two brothers, Anthony Benz of Tucsan, Arizona and Raymond Benz of Little Rock, Arkansas and numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, January 6, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated by Fr. Bruno Fuhrmann O.S.B. and Fr. Eugene Luke O.S.B.. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
