Walter Dinsmore Ramey, 87, of Prairie Grove, died Jan. 28 in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 28, 1885 in Hazel Valley, the son of E. Benjamin and Alice William Ramey, was a carpenter, and farmer and had worked for the Soil Conservation Service for a number of years. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Ethel Parker Ramey, of the home; one son, Eugene of Visalia, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Fisher of Elm Springs; a brother Ezra Ramey of Irving, Tex.; and four half-brothers, Phineus and Robert, both of Winslow, Henry of Lowell and Hobart of Westville, Okla.; his step-mother, Mrs. E.B. Ramey of Winslow; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Brentwood Community Church with burial in Brentwood Cemetery under direction of Nelson's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ethel Ramey, 91, of Springdale died Tuesday in the Springdale hospital. Born June 18, 1888 in Dutton, the daughter of James Wesley and Eva McGaugh Parker, she was a homemaker and a member of Prairie Grove Church of Christ.

She is survived by a son, Eugene of Visalia, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Fisher of Springdale; a brother, J.E. Parker, of Monahans, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Virgie Stone of Prineville, Ore.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Brentwood Church with burial in Brentwood Cemetery under the direction of Nelson's Funeral Home.
